A very uncommon type of clarinet is the Basset Clarinet. Basset clarinets feature extra keys so that lower notes can be played on a soprano-sized clarinet. The most common basset clarinet is in A, but there are also versions in C, Bb, and most rarely, G. It all depends on you and what you want out of a clarinet. One setup that works for someone does not work for all. I have tried both the recital and the signature. I was only able to try one signature and wasn't crazy about the tone quality-- it had practically no "color" to it. Other signatures are probably different ....
